Ermones is a small bay on Corfu's west coast, about twenty-five minutes from the airport, where a steep, wooded valley opens onto a pebble beach, with the island's golf course on the flat land of the Ropa valley just inland. There is no village at the shore, only hotels, apartments and a few houses on the slopes, with Vatos and Giannades on the hills either side. It suits buyers who play golf, or who want the west coast within easy reach of town.

The bay and the valley
The road from town comes over the hills and down the valley to the bay, which is small and closed in by headlands. Behind it, the Ropa valley is a stretch of flat land, and the Corfu Golf Club's course occupies part of it. Vatos is the nearest village, on the hillside to the south; Glyfada and Pelekas are the next beaches down the coast, and Paleokastritsa lies to the north.
