The inlet
The bay runs inland for a considerable distance between wooded hillsides, so that from the village the open sea is out of sight. The slopes on both sides have been built with villas, some of them designed around a pool and a view down to the moorings. Vasiliki is a short drive west over the hills; Nidri and its ferries lie to the north along the coast road.
