The bay
Vlicho Bay is a narrow inlet running south from Nidri, so enclosed that its water can be glass-calm when the open coast is not. Boats are laid up and serviced along its shore, and the road round the bay leads out to the Geni peninsula, whose slopes carry villas and olive groves with views back across the water. The Nidri ferry to Meganisi is a few minutes away by car.
